John Flynn is a actor, writer, comic, who recently moved to Los Angeles from New York City. He has been performing, writing, and directing at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade since 2004. He’s a regular performer on Nights of Our Lives, and for two years hosted the open mic story telling show, Oh Hey Guys. He just released his first album, a collection of stories about his experiences performing in musicals, titled Faggot Munchkin.
He is the co-creator of Showgirls: The Best Movie Ever Made. Ever! His one man shows, Baked!, Themepark Superstar and Dances With Pitchforks: Confessions of a Farm Boy, have been performed at Caroline’s Comedy Club, Joe’s Pub, the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater, and theaters in Los Angeles, Boston, and Key West.
He directed one person shows by Jenny Slate (Dead Millionare), Jon Gabrus (Black Out Drunk), Joe Mande (Tuesdays with Maury), Andrea Rosen (Ding Dong Meow), Gil Ozeri (Buzzy Shore's Master Class in Comedy), Nick Zimmerman (Out of My Mind) and Adam Wade (Healthy Girls). He also directed the musicals Seventeen Seventy-Something and Girl Camp and the sketch groups Dinner, Beige, and 27 Kidneys.
