In the summer of 2002, I began my third one man show, one that detailed my experiences working on the musical Gypsy at the Paper Mill Playhouse with Betty Buckley and Deborah Gibson. It was directed by Jason O’Connell, with musical by Steve Lavner. The show ran at Rose’s Turn, Don’t Tell Mama, Joe’s Pub, and Caroline’s Comedy Club, as well as part of the Key West Summer Theater Festival.
It won the Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy, was named a finalist for the Nightlife Award, and was nominated for a MAC Award. It was also named a “Voice Choice” in the Village Voice and “Pick of the Week” in Time Out NY.
