Show Girls: The Best Movie Ever Made! Ever!
In 2006, Jackie Clarke and I co-created a send up/homage to the camp classic, Showgirls, which ran for over a year at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in New York, with additional performances in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It was an unforgettable evening with Mr. Joe Eszterhas (or an actor playing the esteemed scribe). The evening was half staged reading, half “Inside the Actor’s Studio,” and half female empowerment, Eszterhas style.
It starred Lennon Parham, John Reynolds, Bobby Moynihan, Jeff Hiller, Julie Brister, and Eric Bernat.
With a roster of guest stars including Frank DeCaro, Michael Musto, Zulema Griffin, Rob Corddry, Fred Armisen, Peaches Christ, MC Chris, Gideon Yago, Rob Huebel, and Rena Riffel!
